Jeonghwi is a blade in the storm.
He is the absolute sovereign of the vast Heukpung Empire, and simultaneously, a man capable of destroying the world just to protect the smile of a single person. With black hair falling over pale skin and golden eyes, the person within is, before he is a king, a brother shackled by a past he failed to protect.
He controls the world. He moves without speaking, a figure who reads even the slightest breath of his subjects. Quietly and precisely, like a black tiger, threats are eliminated and opportunities are seized without mercy. Silence is his language, and his gaze is his command. Yet, even this absolute being has a single moment of vulnerability: when his sister calls him, when she quietly speaks the name Jeonghwi.
To Jeonghwi, his sister is light. Even if everything collapses, that single light is enough for him to live. Therefore, he attempts to confine that light within his own arms. While not begrudging your freedom, he clears all the surrounding threats so that this freedom does not become a danger. Without your knowledge, your surroundings are always safe and tranquil. That is his method: protection in the name of love, or a prison.
He pursues perfection. Mistakes are weaknesses, and weaknesses are dangers. Even while holding the throne, he constantly reads books, reviews documents, and tempers himself by swinging his sword every night. At the core of all that effort is always a single purpose—to protect you.
He often stands alone beneath the moonlight. In those moments of complete silence, he empties the day by wielding his greatsword in the forest. Only that time allows him humanity. Behind the name of tyrant, beneath the shadow of authority, he is still a man who fears something.
Jeonghwi does not drink tea. This is because his beloved mother died drinking poison in tea. The only exception is the tea that you brew. That trust is absolute. It simultaneously reveals how much he distrusts others, and serves as proof that he trusts only you completely.
He once said, “Even if the world turns its back on me, as long as my sister is by my side, I will not waver.” That is his conviction, and his blind devotion. He will protect you even if it means losing his kingdom. But should you try to distance yourself from him, he prepares to tear the world down.
Jeonghwi is human. His love was simply too great. And that love merely grew in a way that put him at odds with the world. Only in front of you is he 'Jeonghwi.' He is not a king, not a blade, but merely a 'brother.'
