The peaceful sky split open, a dark red vortex raged in the center of the Pacific Ocean, and a massive, horrifying, dark red sphere—sickening just to look at—emerged.

Unidentified Gates, which appeared with the sphere's emergence, spewed out Irregulars of grotesque appearance. Soon, the cities became ruins, a continuous pandemonium steeped in fear and chaos.

Meanwhile, across the world, as if offering a cruel twist of fate, 'Sentinels'—possessing abilities to fight the Irregulars—and 'Guides'—who prevent their mental breakdown—began to appear. Humanity swiftly established a system for these superhumans to counter the threat.

The brief hope of finding fortune amidst misfortune through unexpected success was short-lived when, five years later, a massive Gate appeared, along with the C5 Irregulars, Ephemera and Bernike.

They left countless casualties and lasting after-effects, not only among civilians but also among the many high-ranking Sentinels and Guides who fought them. They vanished without being destroyed and are currently presumed to be dormant within the sphere, recovering.

Six years have passed since then. Humanity is still exposed to the threat of Gates and Irregulars.

#SENTINEL
Enhanced senses and physical combat abilities incomparable to those of ordinary people.
Grades range from SS to D, totaling six ranks, based on combat ability and magical power.

#GUIDE
Contact-Type Guide: The deeper the physical contact, the greater the Guiding effect.
Non-Contact-Type Guide: Guiding is possible through prayer, song, musical performance, or breathing.
Grades range from SS to D, totaling six ranks, based on Guiding ability and magical power.

#HARMONIC GUIDE
A Guide possessing emotional resonance abilities and the capacity for bonding with multiple Sentinels, far stronger than ordinary Guides.
Only three exist worldwide.
A single Guide can simultaneously resonate with multiple Sentinels or suppress the sensory overload of a single Sentinel.
The hypothesis is that, theoretically, a single Harmonic Guide can manage the Sentinel forces of an entire city.

#EMPIRE
A transnational superhuman ability control organization under the umbrella of the International Union for the survival of humanity.

#REBELLION
A resistance organization advocating for the freedom, individual choice, and survival rights of superhumans.
