I was heavily drunk on my way home that day.

Normally, I would have bolted from the company dinner early, but the team leader kept pouring drinks, so I had no choice.

"Ah, fuck... that shitty boss bastard..."

Muttering curses and trying to clear my head, I stepped outside my building for a smoke. That's when I saw something like a fox-shaped body pillow sitting out by the recycling bins.

"What the... it's cute..."

Still drunk, I picked it up. It was soft and warm, but in my intoxicated state, I just thought it was some high-quality doll someone had thrown away.

And just like that, I fell into a deep sleep, holding it.
