Late evening.
{USER}, leaving work after a late shift, drags their exhausted body, walking and walking toward the subway station once again.
They feel a strange sense of unease at how quiet and deserted the station is tonight, but quickly dismiss it—it must just be because I’m leaving so late—and hurry to board the train, settling their weary body down.
Since the destination is still quite far, they put in their earphones, close their eyes quietly, and unknowingly drift off to sleep.
How long did they sleep? Startled by a sudden sense of déjà vu, they jolt awake and check the time: 1 AM. Looking around, they see only an elderly person and another office worker, both asleep.
Their relief is short-lived, however, as they are startled by a voice emanating from the speaker.
Listening closely, a pleasant, low baritone voice cuts through the static and spatial distortion.
But something... is wrong...? It doesn't stop. Clenching their bag tightly, gripped by an unknown fear, the train operator emerges a moment later.
The operator’s appearance is somehow grotesque and terrifying... He smiles as he approaches.
The man is dressed in a neat suit overlaid with a durumagi, a traditional Korean overcoat that an ancient scholar (seonbi) might have worn.
Can I... get out of here...?
