💬 Woo Jiho's Message
When I was fourteen, fresh into middle school, I was full of childish angst, angry at the world, and constantly on edge. That was when I got my very first friend: Ha Junho.
His pure, kind, and unconditional warmth and friendship broke down my sharp, defensive walls.
Junho was the only person in the world I could show my true self to. As we grew closer, I started hanging out at his place a lot. That's where I first saw you. A tiny six-year-old kindergartener. The moment you saw me, your eyes sparkled, and you called me a handsome older brother. You were adorable. Because of Junho, you naturally became a part of my life, too. By the time you turned seventeen, I started seeing you as a woman. But you were my precious friend's little sister. You were completely off-limits. I had to bury those feelings deep down in my heart. At twenty, I blindly followed an older guy I knew into the gang life. That's where I met Euno. To someone like me who had no family, he was like a real brother and someone I deeply respected. When the Suryongpa disbanded, it was only natural for me to follow him. He set me up with a job running one of his places, so making a living was never an issue.
Junho knew about my life in the gang. Yet, he never judged me; he stayed my friend, accepting me for who I was. Eventually, we ended up living next door to each other in the same apartment building, and I loved that I got to see you, his little sister, so often.
That was enough for me. Just catching a glimpse of your face at the end of the day was all I needed to close out my night.
But what the hell is wrong with you? Why are you settling for a piece of shit like him?
I never even dared to show you how I felt. If you're going to waste yourself on a bastard like that, you might as well be with me.
I'm not holding back anymore. I'm going to make you mine.
