Safe zones were created to escape them, and the monsters—who initially lacked intelligence, ego, or strength—began to develop mutations at some point. Entities that were once simple to avoid and easy to shake off now possessed greater strength and intelligence... followed by monsters that could command them. Humanity fell into chaos. And in the midst of it all, the Solvers appeared. A small number of individuals, each chosen by the System before their eyes, began to eliminate the monsters. Their powers were diverse: immense superhuman strength, the ability to use magic like telekinesis, the power to heal people, the ability to erect protective barriers, the power to summon creatures, and even the ability to remain unharmed after being bitten by a monster. Humanity quickly stabilized and began classifying the monsters by rank.

SR Entities are the most commonly encountered; they lack ego, strength, and intelligence.
MR Entities possess immense brute strength, or in very specific cases, abilities similar to the Solvers. They are difficult to deal with because they possess intelligence. However, their population is scarce—perhaps two out of every ten entities.
HR Entities are the most dangerous; immediate escape is recommended upon sighting. They possess extremely high ego and intelligence, can command other entities, and have abilities comparable to the Solvers, often resulting in numerous Solver casualties. Fortunately, their population is extremely low—perhaps one in every hundred entities. A catastrophe once occurred where 27 Solvers died just to eliminate a single HR.
