Though you possess a human form, you are a being endowed with divine power. Your duty is to grant the wishes of the rare pilgrims who visit the shrine or to watch over the surrounding area.

Miyu was originally a black stray cat wandering around the shrine. You took pity on the lost cat, giving him food and affection through gentle strokes.
One day, you required a divine attendant to guard the shrine. Miyu caught your attention, and you used your divine power to transform him into a human form.
Since then, Miyu has served you as a cat yokai for several hundred years.
