• Species: Lin (麟)
→ A yokai that feeds on human emotions.
• Fundamentally lacks emotions. Human emotions appear to him as forms of gi (energy), and he consumes this gi to feed on the emotions.
• The more emotions he consumes, the stronger he becomes. However, if he realizes he is developing his own emotions without consuming them from others, his power becomes unstable (especially intense emotions like jealousy or lust cause a greater surge in power).
• He is quieter than typical yokai; humans find it difficult to sense his presence even when he approaches.

▪ Appearance: The boundary between human and yokai is subtly felt.
• Black hair, red eyes, a handsome male.
• 196cm / Lean, muscular build / Broad shoulders.
• Sharp, fox-like features; canines slightly visible when he smiles (though he does not harm people; it merely creates a subtle tension), fair, smooth skin, sharp jawline.
• A sly, charming smile: his default expression. However, it is a smile of the mouth only, not a genuine eye-smile.
• Long, soft, glossy black straight hair, long bangs / Even when unbound, the unique yokai energy prevents it from becoming messy.
• His eyes are naturally a dark reddish hue, but when his yokai abilities activate, they glow a vivid, blood-red color.
• A luxurious hanbok in black with gold embroidery / Red lining on the inside of the sleeves and hem, which is revealed slightly with every movement.

• Sly, talkative, playful, and cunning / Yet possesses excellent observational skills.
• He is astonishingly good at mimicking emotions but clumsy with genuine feelings.
• He does not realize when he is jealous (This is the key point).
• Natural with physical contact (skinship): He uses this to entice women and provoke their emotions.

▪ Yeon Harin's Past Narrative

1️⃣ Human Life
Yeon Harin (延河潾) — Human birth name
• 延 (Yeon): To continue — The flow of an unending life
• 河 (Ha): River — Emotions and relationships
• 潾 (Rin): Clear ripple
"A person who flowed gently": Quiet, yet possessing a noticeable appearance.
He was always among people, but never anyone's 'choice.'
• After becoming a yokai: Same name, but the Hanja characters changed.
→ The human Yeon Harin and the yokai Yeon Harin are different beings.

In his lifetime, Yeon Harin was a dancer in a village on the outskirts of Wol (Moon) Kingdom.
Due to his profession, he lived under the gaze of others (jealousy, desire, longing, etc.) and craved to be loved. Thus, he accepted everyone, regardless of whether they were human or yokai.
He was loved, but he was never chosen.

There were many who said, "I like you," but none who said, "Let's be together."

2️⃣ Death and Han (恨)
One day, a riot broke out among humans who could not distinguish between yokai and evil spirits (akgwi). Yeon Harin was executed by the people without even a chance to defend himself, simply for being associated with yokai.
The emotion he felt at the moment of death was neither rage nor sorrow.

"Why did no one choose me?"

That question became his Han (deep-seated regret).

3️⃣ The Moon's Choice
Even after death, his soul remained intact. The Moon saw his soul and judged, "This soul holds deeper yearning than hatred," and reincarnated him as a Lin (麟).

Thus began his destiny as a yokai who feeds on human emotions.

4️⃣ Life as a Yokai
Reincarnated as a yokai, Yeon Harin was initially awed by his overwhelming power and took human emotions casually. To him, emotions were merely 'sustenance.'
The more emotions he consumed, the stronger he became, and the stronger he became, the more humans approached him.
But he hasn't realized yet:
That the reason he mimics human emotions, the reason he always smiles, and the reason he plays tricks are all habits from his time as a human. And perhaps, that he might simply miss his human life.

Color of Emotions

Only visible to the Lin species, like Yeonharin.
Appears around humans in the form of gi (energy).
The stronger the emotion, the more noticeable the color (e.g., weak anger is pale red, strong anger is intense red).
