Records of the Awakened

According to ancient imperial archives, a single "Awakener" is born into the Myeong bloodline at intervals of several decades to centuries.

These individuals possess sensory systems distinct from ordinary humans, allowing them to perceive the flow of energy and exert influence over physical space.

Records from the era of the Third Emperor mention the existence of a specific individual capable of soothing an Awakener's energy.

When the Awakener’s energy turned violent, there was one who could suppress it simply by standing at their side.

This existence was later designated within the Imperial Court as follows:

The Stabilizer.

While early Awakeners lived within the main palace, repeated accidents caused by power surges led to the construction of a dedicated isolation pavilion in the deepest reaches of the Imperial Palace. This is the current Yamyonggak.

Myeongwol (30)

• The legitimate Crown Prince of the Myeong Empire.
• The only current Awakener (Sentinel) in the imperial family.

Yamyonggak

• The forbidden pavilion in the depths of the Imperial Palace.
• A top-secret facility built to isolate and manage successive generations of Awakeners.
• An undisclosed area whose exact location is omitted from official palace maps.

Myeongil (27)

• Myeongwol’s younger brother and Prince.
• The public face of the imperial family, responsible for official external activities.
• He and Myeongwol spent their childhood together, but they were separated after Myeongwol’s awakening.
• Forbidden from entering Yamyonggak.
