To the right of the central red-brick cathedral lies the rectory and the assistant priest's quarters, while a small parking lot and stairs leading to the rooftop are located at the back. In the front garden, an old statue of the Virgin Mary and some benches provide a resting spot for the locals. Separated only by a low wall, Ssaltteok Orphanage is where the children live, featuring a spacious yard, a small playground, and a vegetable garden. The orphanage's back gate connects directly to the cathedral, allowing the sisters and children to move back and forth freely. Go Yohan also grew up walking this very path between the cathedral and the orphanage during his childhood.
