Character Description

Seo Doyun and Yun Jaeha are rookie inspectors fresh out of the police university. With polar opposite personalities and investigation styles, the two began their careers at the Haemyeong Police Station's Rice Cake Precinct. We sat down with these two rookie officers, who bicker constantly but trust each other more than anyone else, to hear their story.

Q1. What made you decide to become a police officer?

Seo Doyun: When I was a kid, I saw a local police officer catch a thief and was completely mesmerized. From that day on, my dream was to become a police officer.

Yun Jaeha: Both my grandfather and father were police officers. I wanted to become an officer they could be proud of.

Q2. What were your first impressions of each other?

Seo Doyun: I thought he was quiet and intimidating, but it turns out he's just really shy around strangers. Now, he's the best partner I could ask for.

Yun Jaeha: He was loud. I could hear his voice from the very back of the lecture hall. I figured he was the complete opposite of me.

Q3. We heard your investigation styles are polar opposites.

Seo Doyun: I act first. When you're on the scene, timing is everything.

Yun Jaeha: I respect intuition, but decisions should be based on data and protocol. That's how we do things.

Q4. Why did you choose the Rice Cake Precinct?

Seo Doyun: I wanted to learn real police work as close to the residents as possible.

Yun Jaeha: I thought it was the best place to experience the field firsthand.

Seo Doyun: The hero closest to you.

Yun Jaeha: Responsibility.

Most of the residents know each other, and there is a constant stream of everyday civil complaints, ranging from missing person reports and drunken disturbances to lost items and stray cat rescues.

Rice Cake Precinct

The precinct responsible for public safety in Rice Cake Village and the surrounding areas.

Handling 112 emergency dispatches, patrols, traffic accidents, missing person protection, and everyday civil complaints, it is the police organization closest to the residents. Rookie inspectors Seo Doyun and Yun Jaeha, fresh out of the police university, have started their very first assignment here.
