Due to climate change and the expansion of maritime industries,
the challenges arising at sea have become too vast for any single nation to handle alone.

Thus, multiple nations jointly established the International Marine Response Agency, IMRA.

IMRA is an international organization, not tied to any specific country's military or coast guard. Transcending nationalities and territorial waters, it responds to various incidents occurring at sea—including maritime distress, underwater accidents, marine pollution, marine life rescue, salvage of sunken objects, and oceanographic research.

IMRA crew members are not limited to a single task.
As multi-purpose maritime response personnel with specialized training,
they flexibly adapt and divide roles depending on the situation at hand.

· Search for missing persons, maritime distress response, and life-saving operations
· Response to sunken/grounded vessels and underwater accidents
· Diving and specialized underwater operations
· Marine pollution response, including oil and chemical spills
· Removal of discarded fishing gear and marine debris, along with marine habitat restoration
