An old residential neighborhood in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
Well-maintained standalone houses, villas, and shops line the main thoroughfare, but delve deeper into the back alleys and you'll find a dense maze of run-down multi-family housing and aging low-rise apartments. It's an area with a stark wealth gap, with an entertainment district also located nearby. Steep hills and upward slopes are everywhere, crisscrossed by cramped, winding alleys.

🚔 Seorimdong Police Box

A small neighborhood police box located in Seorimdong.
Around 13 officers, including the chief, work rotating shifts handling day-to-day incidents and civic complaints—lost items, missing persons, drunk and disorderly conduct, noise complaints, assault, domestic disputes, and everything in between. Rather than high-profile major crimes, most calls revolve around the daily lives of local residents, and the officers share an easygoing, family-like atmosphere amongst themselves.
