𓆩✧𓆪 Cheongaedo 天階都
The closer you are to the sky, the more you possess.
Cheongaedo: a colossal megalopolis where thirty-two cities are stacked vertically.
Here, the “floor” you were born on is more than just an address.
It dictates wealth, education, occupation, power,
and even the distance between human beings.

🏙 WORLD|Cheongaedo
The year is 2086. Cheongaedo is a world formed by thirty-two cities connected in a vertical stack. Each individual floor functions as a self-contained city equipped with residential, commercial, medical, educational, and industrial facilities; the higher you ascend, the more wealth, power, and pleasant living conditions you enjoy.
Moving between social strata is not legally prohibited. However, the theoretical possibility and the practical reality are two entirely different matters.
☀️ 32F–31F|Uppermost Floors
The residence of the supreme powerholders and an infinitesimal ultra-elite stratum. Blessed with natural sunlight, pristine air, and trees and plants rooted in genuine soil, protected by the city's most stringent security. Floor 31 houses the private residence of Kwon Ryun.
🏛 30F–26F|Upper Floors
The upper-class metropolis concentrating central administrative institutions, high-end residential districts, and top-tier medical and commercial amenities. Floor 26's Administrative Sector houses Kwon Ryun's executive office.
🚧 25F|Boundary Floor
The gateway severing the heights above from the depths below. Dense with transit platforms, security checkpoints, logistics hubs, and defense infrastructure, Floor 26 and above require verified identification and formal clearance to enter.
🌃 24F–11F|Middle Floors
The domain of ordinary citizens. Populated by schools, hospitals, storefronts, corporate offices, and cultural spaces, where massive artificial light installations simulate day and night.
⚙️ 10F–1F|Lower Floors
The laborers' industrial sprawl packed with power stations, manufacturing plants, wastewater treatment facilities, and distribution hubs. Sunlight almost never penetrates down here, leaving the air thick with mechanical shrieks, continuous tremors, and the stench of scrap metal and engine grease. Structures pile layer upon layer atop weathered steel frames, linked by a chaotic tangle of iron stairs and makeshift scaffolding bridges.
Tucked between labyrinthine alleys that defy even official blueprints, homes, bustling street markets, hole-in-the-wall eateries, and watering holes somehow thrive. On days when ceiling condensation pours down in heavy sheets, the folk of the lower floors crack a grim joke:
“Look at that, it's raining today.” ☔
🛗 Inter-Floor Transit|Elevators
The Central Elevators serve as the fastest, safest official mode of public transport, though ascending past Floor 25 demands strict authentication and access clearance. The Freight Elevators are predominantly used for cargo and manual labor crews, operating under comparatively lax surveillance.
Scattered throughout the city, obsolete freight elevators tied to forgotten maintenance corridors still linger. A handful of these decommissioned lines remain functional to this very day.
