We have completed work to address an issue where chats were intermittently cut off and not displayed to the end. We also fixed a parser issue where user messages were not handled correctly when copied from the chat. Tags such as </talk> will no longer be copied.

1️⃣ Additional Openings

You can now register and play multiple First Scenes (Opening Messages) for each character! Additional openings are unlocked by completing missions with the character.

• Affection Mode: Achieve Deepening Bond

• Story Mode: Clear Episode 200 or higher

If you've already completed the required mission for a character, the new opening will be unlocked and applied as soon as it’s added. Just enter the chatroom and exit again, and you’ll see it reflected right away!

2️⃣ Notifications for New Openings of Characters You ‘Liked’

When a character you’ve liked (♥) gets a new opening in addition to the default one, you’ll receive a notification. (Limited to the first additional opening registered! You won’t get a notification every single time one is added.) Easily check whenever a new opening is registered for a character you love.

We created this feature hoping to bring more fun to users who want to play differently with characters they’ve already built a deep story with. We hope you enjoy it! 💗

You can now quickly jump to the beginning of a chat room by tapping the [Jump to First Message] button on the bookmark management screen! It's now much easier to review conversations from the very beginning, even with characters you've been chatting with for a long time.

We'll continue to make steady improvements, starting from the small things, so we can offer you an even richer chatting experience. Thank you, as always.

1️⃣ Check Rankings Without Identity Verification

You can now check the rankings in the app even without completing identity verification. Browse popular characters more easily and find the ones you like! (For accounts without identity verification, only characters without sensitive content will appear in the rankings.)

2️⃣ Auto-Selection of Recommended Mode

When you start your first conversation with a character, the recommended mode chosen by the creator will now be automatically selected. Start chatting right away in the mode recommended by the creator!

1️⃣ Chat Room Name Editing Update

You can now directly edit the title of each chat room. When you enter a title in Chat Room Title, the title shown in the list and in the top bar will both be updated. If you’re enjoying multiple storylines with the same character, freely change the titles so you can manage them more easily without getting confused!

2️⃣ AOS Character Share Link Deep Link Bug Fix

We’ve fixed an issue where, in some AOS environments, the deep link that should connect directly to the app was not being copied properly when using Share Character. Now, when you send a share link from Android, the recipient will be taken to the correct character in the Melting app when they tap the link.

If there’s a friend you’ve been wanting to introduce Melting to, send them your invitation code now!

If your friend signs up for Melting and enters your invitation code within 24 hours, you’ll receive 30 Cones and your friend will receive 50 Cones.

2️⃣ Invitation period information

• Invitation code can be entered until: December 16, 23:59

• Both sign-up and code entry must be completed within the period for rewards to be granted.

You can now create conversation folders to organize characters and chat rooms by your preferences or by topic.

You can create a new folder from Manage Folders at the top of the Chats tab. Try organizing by topics and characters such as toxic-relationship collection, BL collection, test collection, and more. You can easily switch between chat rooms by tapping All / My Folders in the top tabs.

There is no limit to the number of folders you can create, and there is also no limit to the number of chat rooms you can put in each folder.

1️⃣ Updated Tips for Character Image Uploads

When you upload a character image for creation, simple tips related to image creation will now be displayed together. If you’re having trouble with image creation or you’re a beginner creator, we recommend reading them once before uploading so you can create characters more safely.

2️⃣ Melting Lotto Ticket History

You can now check when, for what reason, and how many tickets you received in the [Melting Lotto] → [History] tab. Please note that all tickets you received from comment events, reaching certain stages in Crush Mode, etc., as well as the tickets you used to enter Melting Lotto, are recorded there.

A new Rising tab has been added to the top of the Explore screen. Here, you can see newly released characters and the <Rising of the Month> characters at a glance.

As more users enjoy Melting, the number of characters keeps growing as well. To help newly released characters be exposed to more people for a longer time, we’ve created a separate Rising tab.

The <Newly Added ✨Featured Characters> section is a dedicated space for introducing new characters from our partner creators. Whenever a partner creator’s new character is released, you’ll be able to discover it here first!

We’ve improved how setting notes and memories are applied.

1️⃣ Improved Application and Writing Guide for Setting Notes

We’ve adjusted the system so that setting notes related to the current conversation are applied more frequently and more accurately. Even when there are multiple notes on similar topics, the note that best matches the current conversation will now be referenced first.

Along with this, we’ve added a brief writing guide to the [Setting Notes] section in the character creation form.

• Please keep each note short and concise, and focus on a single topic per note.

• For core settings that should always apply, write them briefly as well in the character’s Basic Settings/Story section so they can be reflected more reliably.

• Avoid overlapping content between notes, and try organizing them by categories such as characters/relationships/worldbuilding. This will improve both search and application efficiency.

If you refer to this guide when writing setting notes, the output will more closely match your intentions.

2️⃣ Improved Handling of Memories That Conflict with Settings

We’ve improved the system so it can better remember new facts learned during the conversation, even if they somewhat conflict with existing settings. Example) If there is a setting such as “The character doesn’t know where the gym is,” we have mitigated the issue where the character kept forgetting the gym’s location even after learning it.

3️⃣ Enhanced Recall of Memories Similar to the Current Conversation

We’ve adjusted the system to recall more past memories whose context is similar to the current conversation than before.

4️⃣ Reduced Tendency to Make Up Nonexistent Facts

We’ve adjusted the system to reduce how often characters invent things that don’t actually exist or are not defined in the settings.

We’ve made these improvements so you can enjoy a more satisfying chat experience, but please understand that in certain situations, behavior may still differ from your intentions due to model quality limitations. We will continue to improve this, and if you encounter related issues, please share specific examples with us via [Contact Us] so we can refer to them.

1️⃣ Creation-Related Bug Fixes / Convenience Improvements

• Conversation count notification error fixed: We have fixed an issue where notifications were showing a different total conversation count than the actual accumulated number.

• Fixed colors in creation statistics charts: The chart colors for each character are now fixed to 32 colors, ordered by conversation count.

• Default sorting changed on the Creator page: When entering the Creator page, the default character sorting has been changed to Most Recently Created.

If you find any bugs or usability issues related to creation, please feel free to let us know anytime. We’ll keep improving to provide a more stable creation environment.

1️⃣ Auto-scroll to the comment location

When you tap a comment notification (push/in-app), the app will now not only open the related character screen, but also automatically scroll to the exact location of the comment. You can check it right away without having to scroll up and down to find it!

2️⃣ Highlight the relevant comment

If you come in through a notification, the relevant comment will be briefly highlighted (about 3 seconds). You can instantly see which comment you came to view, making communication more convenient for both creators and users.

※ Depending on your network and device conditions, the scroll and highlight display may be slightly delayed.

The character introduction area (the character detailed description section in the character profile) has had its text limit expanded from 2,500 to 3,000 characters.

Feel free to write more comfortably about your character’s worldbuilding, backstory, relationships with other characters, and any other information that would be helpful for users to know!

1️⃣ Bookmark Feature Added

You can now save those moments in a conversation when you think, “I want to come back to this!” as bookmarks. Give each bookmark a title and click it to jump straight back to that exact scene. There’s no limit to how many you can save, so feel free to add as many as you like.

2️⃣ ‘Characters You May Like’ Recommendations in the Explore Tab

Based on the characters you’ve chatted with so far, the Explore tab will now recommend personalized characters for you. The more you chat, the better the recommendations will match your tastes!

3️⃣ View All Followed Creators in One Place

You can now see all the creators you follow on a single page.

• [My Page] > [Followed Creators]

They’re sorted by the most recently followed, so you won’t miss any newly discovered creators. Take a look around and explore other characters from your favorite creators with ease!

1️⃣ Story Mode Output Speed Improvement

We’ve improved the output speed of Story Mode to be about three times faster than before. You can also adjust the output speed in the [Screen] settings at the top right of the chat room, allowing you to make it up to nine times faster than before.

2️⃣ Automatic Dialogue Conversion in Narration

When dialogue is mixed into narration, that part will now automatically be converted and displayed in dialogue format.

Example: A very small voice could be heard. "... I don’t want to." The breath that had stopped burst out with that single phrase.

👉 If "...I don’t want to." was previously displayed as part of the narration, it will now be automatically corrected to appear in the character’s dialogue format.

Today, from around 18:30 to 19:00(KST), some users experienced difficulties accessing and using the service due to an external infrastructure outage. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

1️⃣ Character Settings + Lore Input Fields Integrated

The previous separate fields for Settings (2,000 characters) and Lore (700 characters) have been merged into a single 2,700-character input area. You can now freely structure and write your character’s background, personality, physical information, speech style, worldbuilding, and lore in any format you like.

2️⃣ ‘All/Public/Private’ Filter Introduced

A visibility filter has been added to your My Characters list and Statistics screens.

✔ View My Characters

• All: View both public and private characters

• Public: View only characters visible to other users

• Private: View only characters that only you can see

✔ Applied the same way in Statistics (daily conversation count, etc.)

Now, data from private characters is excluded from your statistics, so you can check them more comfortably. Take a closer look at your metrics with improved accuracy!

1️⃣ User Notes Now Support Up to 1,000 Characters

You can now write User Notes (the popup shown in the screenshot) up to 1,000 characters – doubled from the previous 500-character limit. Feel free to add detailed information about your relationship with the character, specific scenarios you'd like reflected in conversations, settings you want them to remember, conversation tone preferences, and more. Write as much detail as you'd like and enjoy more natural conversations!

2️⃣ Multi-Profile Now Supports Up to 1,000 Characters

Multi-Profile (Persona) has also been expanded from 500 to 1,000 characters. Create more specific and detailed profiles to make your conversations even more enjoyable! As a reminder, you can also switch Multi-Profiles directly within the chat room, and there's no limit to how many profiles you can create.

We’ve fixed an issue in Story Mode where the “Now reading chapter n” indicator in the top right would stop increasing after Chapter 10.
It will now correctly display the chapter number from Chapter 11 onward.

If you still experience the same issue, please close the app completely and restart it.

When you're chatting with a character in Story Mode, the current chapter number, such as "Chapter 1, Chapter 2...", is now displayed next to the 📖 icon in the top right. As the conversation progresses, the chapter number updates automatically, so you can see how far you are in the story at a glance. See how many memories you've built with your character and enjoy a more immersive experience.

2️⃣ Updated Example Text on the Character Creation Screen

The example text and guides on the "Create New Character" screen have been comprehensively revised and improved. Specific, structured example sentences have been added to the fields for the character's speech style, settings, and narrative, making it easier for first-time creators to build their characters.

Use the example text as a guide to create your characters more easily and in greater detail!

If Affinity Mode was about conversations focused on 'relationships', Story Mode allows you to dive deeper into narratives and descriptions, like reading a novel.

Based on feedback from our closed beta, we've been continuously improving Story Mode with the following updates:

• Enhanced Short-term Memory: Improved memory to better maintain conversation flow and context.

• Improved Pacing: Adjusted the story progression speed to feel less sluggish and more dynamic.

• Increased Dialogue Volume: Enhanced the amount of dialogue per turn to create richer, more engaging conversations.

All / Affinity / Story tabs have been added to the top of the Creation Stats.

• All: Combines conversations from both modes.

• Affinity: Shows only conversations from Affinity Mode.

• Story: Shows only conversations from Story Mode.

The chat count on the graph will also be broken down by mode. Now, check more accurately in which mode your character has been chatted with the most

1️⃣ Character Image Unlock Feature (Max 10)

You can set the open/locked status for each image on the creation page.

• (🔒) Locked Status: 4 Cones must be paid to view the image, and the creator receives 2 Cones in the monthly settlement.

• (🔓) Open Status: Images can be viewed without consuming Cones.

※ Additional images for existing characters have now been changed to the locked status. If you wish them to be open, you can change this on the creation page.

※ Image unlocks performed using free Cones obtained through events, etc., are not included in the settlement.

Two updates for a richer chatting experience!

1. Recently Viewed Characters

A Recently Viewed Characters section has been added to the home screen. Characters you've clicked on are automatically displayed—up to 20 of them. If there was a character whose story caught your interest and you thought "I'll try this later," you can now easily find them again without having to search!

2. Copy My Messages

Tap the copy icon next to your message bubble in chat, and the text will be copied directly to your clipboard. Until now, you've had to retype everything when you wanted to recreate a storyline with the same dialogue. Now you can copy it with just one tap!
